Recon Mission: Sector 1-3 of the Void Empty Recon Mission: Sector 1-3 of the Void

Kueshi had been ordered by Marin to explore sector 1-3 of the Void. This was the perfect opportunity for Kueshi to obtain some new information on The Void to assist his research. Maybe he would even find something useful. Kueshi prepared for his journey by bathing and putting on a normal black business suit and white shirt with a blue tie. The tie was a rather dark blue, but it reflected strong light and would glow other colors such as green and purple under the right light. It was mundane, but could be distracting to an opponent. Black Floor-shine shoes and dress socks topped of his uniform.

Kueshi opened a Garganta to the void, on the edge of sector 1-3. Kueshi look around and saw the ruins of several buildings. One building peaked his interests. It appeared to be in decent condition considering the shape of buildings around it. It was maybe three stories tall and had windows on every side, what appeared to be cement bricks as siding and a single pair of large wooden swinging doors.

Kueshi walked up to the swinging doors and pushed them open. The building had a fairly simple layout, the first floor was layed out with a desk in the front and two doors heading to a central commons area. There were stairs heading upwards to the right and heading downwards to the left. Kueshi decided that he wanted to check upstairs before he went downstairs, upstairs would be easier to escape from if the building was laced with anything like traps for unsuspecting prey. Who knew what was roaming around here. Kueshi walked up the stairs cautiously.

As Kueshi reached the top of the staircase and the second floor of the building, he took a quick look around. No traps were obvious. This building must have been used by some branch of militants, because there was an armory in the back corner with maybe a hundred guns and several kegs of black powder and ammunition. Kueshi noted several characteristics of the weaponry. The weapons were rifled and fired bullets, not musket balls, so they were approximately 1100 to 1000 years old… There were also spears of some type and maybe ten different katanas hanging on the wall.

After leaving the armory on the second floor, Kueshi checked through the other rooms, nothing of even mundane interest was left on the second floor. The armory would have to go in his report though. Kueshi continued up the stairs to the top floor of the building. The top floor contained several archaic machines. One of which was something like a telegraph, it could send and receive signals over an electric line that was hooked up to several other locations. Most of the technology was no longer of any use to anyone. Kueshi decided that there was nothing of real interest on this floor. He walked back down the stairs to the main floor and looked out the window before deciding to proceed to the basement.

Kueshi proceeded down the stairs into the basement. There was a locked door, but a locked door was no match for an espada. Kueshi fired two balla, one opposite to each hinge on the door, sending the door off of its hinges and into the floor. Behind the door was a small laboratory. It contained what must have been the research of some shinigami a thousand years ago. A skeleton lay on a table in the middle of the room as well as several rusty tools and a sink.

In a window on the one side of the basement that could get light were some pictures of what the skeleton on the table looked like before it had died. It looked like a Shinigami except for one thing; it had a mask covering its face. ‘A Vizard?’ Kueshi was curious. Could this have been one of the first Vizards, created by some crazed Shinigami’s experiments? Or maybe it was a failed attempt at creating a Vizard, and it was just a regular Shinigami with a hollow’s mask on him for some reason… Either way, it would be something interesting to report back to Arran Corp HQ. Kueshi exited the building through the stairs and then the front door. After exiting the door, he opened a garganta back to his office to file a report to Arja Xin, A.K.A. Marin; the head of Arran Corp and leader of the Espada.

    REPORT:

I, Kueshi Drahna, have returned from my mission to section 1-3 of the void. The majority of the area is dilapidated, nothing but ruins. Among these ruins, one building held it's original shape, walls and roof intact. It was a three story building with a basement. The second floor contained a small stock of weapons including rifles and oriental melee weaponry. Upon further exploration, the basement contained a laboratory with some interesting research. It appears that someone was trying to create a Vizard. All of this: the lab, the weaponry, is around 900 to 1100 years old. There are pictures of a Shinigami with a hollow mask tied down in the lab as well as the possible Vizard's skeletal remains. This is all I have to report.

    Signed, Kueshi Drahna
